Everything You Want to Know When Buying Your First Tailored Suit in Bangkok

You’ve probably heard that you can have a custom suit tailored in Bangkok , for a fraction of the price of any western country. And this is true. I have had some beautiful suits tailored. But knowing how to sort through the minefield of tailor shops is the real challenge. 

There are an insane amount of shops to choose between while in Bangkok. And in this post I will share my personal experience, about the two tailor shops which I have personally used myself (and had a great experience with). I will also share my own tips on what to look out for when buying a Suit in Bangkok.

If you just want the short answer, I recommend the ‘Overseas Tailors’ if you're in the Sathorn Area. Or the ‘Prime Tailors’ if you're in the Sukhumvit area. (Overseas Tailors also have a second branch near Khaosan Road). 

Overseas Tailors are best if you want to build a long-term relationship with a tailor who you can place repeat orders with. And prime tailors are a great choice for a one-off or first-time purchase; with a wide choice of materials and fabrics to pick from.
