Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island: 9 Reasons That Will Make You Want

by BackPackBOB 21 April 2020
Facebook0Tweet0Pin0Print0

The Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn is one of the most luxurious resorts on Phi Phi Island. It’s in a world of it’s own and far away from main town on the island which is notorious for crazy nightlife. At the Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn you’ll find yourself secluded and immersed in the nature and natural beauty which Phi Phi Island offers.

The resort has over 150 rooms on Laem Tong Beach and has its own community of shops, restaurants, bars, swimming pools and entertainments. Laem Tong is one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods on Phi Phi Island where the beaches are powder soft, the oceans are clear and teaming with marine life. And the surrounding landscapes are full of life with luscious greenery.

The environment and vibe is tranquil and peaceful and there is something to do for everybody. The Phi Phi Holiday Inn is great for families with kids clubs running during the day. And on-site activities include cooking classes, Muay Thai lessons, and snorkelling trips.

If you’re deciding where to stay on Phi Phi Island then the Holiday Inn should defiantly make your shortlist. I have put together a guide (which I hope you’ll find useful) to help you find the best neighbourhood and the best hotel for you to stay in on Phi Phi Island. You can read my guide to Phi Phi Island Hotels here: Top 15 Phi Phi Island Hotels: Where To Stay On Koh Phi Phi.

And if you think the Holiday Inn is the best place for you to stay on Phi Phi Island, or you just need a little persuading. Then keep on reading as I’ll be sharing 9 things I loved about the Holiday Inn that make it one of the best hotels on Koh Phi Phi.

Contents Hide
1. 1. Holiday Inn Phi Phi Has A Private Beach
2. 2. Relax In A Private Swimming Pool At Holiday Inn Phi Phi
3. 3. Guest Experience Focused: You’ll Be Looked After Well
4. 4. The Phi Phi Holiday Inn Is Secluded, Remote & Beautiful
5. 5. The Holiday Inn Phi Phi Is Great For Couples or Families
6. 6. You Can Watch The Sunrise AND The Sunset
7. 7. Anything You Need, The Phi Phi Holiday Inn Has
8. 8. There Are Plenty Of Activities To Keep You Entertained
9. 9. Enjoy A Peaceful Dinner On The Beach

1. Holiday Inn Phi Phi Has A Private Beach

In recent years Phi Phi Island has become must-see destination for travellers visiting Thailand, yet the small size of the island and demand from travellers often see’s the main beaches packed with tourists. And let’s be real, the top reason to visit the Phi Phi Islands is for the stunning beaches.

When you stay at the Holiday Inn in Phi Phi Island you’ll be staying on Laem Tong Beach, which is a private beach for the resort and other neighbouring five-star resorts. The Holiday Inn will not disappoint. This private beach is everything you’d expect from an up-market resort. In Phi Phi ISland this is the best it gets.

So slap on the sunscreen, lay down the towel (drop the kids off at the kids club) and enjoy an afternoon relaxing on Koh Phi Phi’s most beautiful beach.

2. Relax In A Private Swimming Pool At Holiday Inn Phi Phi

It is nice to swim in the ocean and if that’s your thing, then your in luck. The Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn is right on the beach front, and the ocean water here is some of the clearest tropic water you can find on the island.

But if you want to spend you’re day sipping on a fresh coconut and chilling at the pool-side, you’ll be in the right place. The Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn has three swimming pools open to guests, and if you want the best-of-the-best the Sunset Villa Suites even have their own, full sized private swimming pools on the balcony.

3. Guest Experience Focused: You’ll Be Looked After Well

Thailand is known as land of smiles, which is a great way to describe how friendly the staff are at the Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn. You’ll be well looked after here.

Attention to detail at the resort is unprecedented. From the ‘pillow menu’ where you can select the right pillow for your needs to the welcome experience where you’ll be greeted with a cold towel and a fresh fruit juice.

4. The Phi Phi Holiday Inn Is Secluded, Remote & Beautiful

Phi Phi Island is an incredible place the nightlife here can’t be compared to anywhere else. But the town is busy and overrun with drunk backpackers. And sometimes it’s nice to get away from the chaos, the hustle-and-bustle and have a neighbourhood to yourself.

After all, that’s what we all dream of when we think about Phi Phi Islands, right? And that’s the experience that the Holiday Inn can offer, not many hotels on Phi Phi Island can provide a private beach, secluded bay and a town just for their guests.

You can’t walk into the main town from Laem Tong (rather it’s a three-hour hike through the jungle) so you don’t have to worry about the two different vibes and atmospheres spilling over to one another. At the Phi Phi Island Holiday Inn, you are totally secluded from the rest of the island. If you want to explore the other neighbourhoods you’ll need to jump into a text boat (which the resort will arrange for free) and ride around the perimeter of the island to the main pier.

It’s peaceful here, it’s Phi Phi Island as it should be.

5. The Holiday Inn Phi Phi Is Great For Couples or Families

Families will love the Ocean Villa suites, the villa’s sleep six people with a private swimming pool on the balcony. And if you want some time away from your little once during your stay, you can drop the off at the kids club while you top up on your tan or explore the island.

6. You Can Watch The Sunrise AND The Sunset

There aren’t many places on the island where you can watch both the sunrise and the sunset. The Phi Phi Holiday Inn is one of them. The resort is set on a thin strip on land on the northern tip of the island. This in turn, gives you 180 degree views over the horizon. Just enough to catch the sunrise and sunset from the same spot. It really is something unique.

7. Anything You Need, The Phi Phi Holiday Inn Has

The resort is a town in itself. You could spend you entire island get away here without ever needing to leave the resorts grounds. Although I’d recommend you do as there are some awesome things to do on the island.

The Holiday Inn has souvenir and gift shops, gyms, bars on the beach front, stunning restaurants and free entertainment for all.

8. There Are Plenty Of Activities To Keep You Entertained

You won’t run short of things to do at the Phi Phi Holiday Inn. You can relax at the beach or by the poolside. Take a island hopping tour, snorkel in the ocean, go fishing with a local boat captain, join a Thai Cooking Class, Learn Muay Thai or join in with a game of volleyball on the beach. And that’s all without having to leave the resorts grounds!

But there is so much else to do and see on the island, you can stay for weeks and you still wouldn’t find yourself running short of ideas!

You can read my full guide to Phi Phi Islands here.

9. Enjoy A Peaceful Dinner On The Beach

You’ll have a choice of three restaurants to eat at when you stay at the Phi Phi Holiday Inn, two of which are on the sand at the beachfront. It is a unique dining experience where you can dig your toes into the cool sand while you enjoy a glass of wine. The food at the Holiday Inn is delicious, I love Thai food and that is usually all I will eat in Thailand. But at the Phi Phi Holiday Inn, the western food is cooked and served to perfection.

I've collected countless untold stories and mishaps along the way. In my travel blog, I'll share the reality about travelling, the up's and the down's, with no bulls**t, and no drama, I tell it how it is. In a time when travel has become such a controversial topic, and most people will tell you off that you are best to stay at home, because, you know, pandemic... I want to inspire and prove that travel is still possible, and safe. I want to share why and how travel is so incredible and unique in a world after the coronavirus.
